Square Enix is Not Currently Considering Bringing Final Fantasy XV to Nintendo’s NX

A few months back we reported on a rumor that Square Enix was planning to bring Final Fantasy XV and the Final Fantasy VII remake to Nintendo’s upcoming console, NX. The source of this rumor later deleted his video, and we haven’t heard anything similar since, but Game Reactor decided to ask Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata if there was any truth to the story during a recent interview.

Unfortunately for Nintendo fans, Tabata stated that he and his team are not currently considering an NX version of the game. However, he went on to express that he has “high expectations” for NX, and he’s looking forward to both the console and the upcoming
Zelda game, Breath of the Wild. Tabata was not asked about a possible NX version of the Final Fantasy VII remake.
