When Square Enix launches Final Fantasy XV later this month it will run at 30 frames per second, but PlayStation 4 Pro owners can look forward to an eventual performance boost. The game will support HDR and 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro at launch, but Square Enix is also working on a patch (planned to release in December) that will bring the game up to 60 frames per second.
Square Enix still has their work cut out for them in the cutting weeks, as the game currently runs at around 40-50 frames per second on PlayStation 4 Pro. If they succeed, players can look forward to 60 frames per second while playing at 1080p. If you’re playing the game in 4K, it will only run at 30 frames per second. Square Enix has not yet announced an exact date for this patch.
