It’s been a long wait, but we’re just two days away now from the launch of Star Fox Zero on Wii U. On the same day, gamers will be able to pick up its companion game, Star Fox Guard. Is this Wii U duo worth spending your hard-earned cash? Reviews have started coming in, and they are relatively positive, but there are definitely some mixed feelings.

Star Fox Zero is drawing praise for its fun action and replayability, but its visuals underwhelmed some reviewers, the controls proved troublesome for some (although others found it rewarding), and many felt that it didn’t bring enough fresh and new to the table. Star Fox Zero currently has an average score of 72/100 on Metacritic with 24 positive reviews, 20 mixed reviews, and one negative review. Meanwhile, Star Fox Guard has an average review score of 74/100 on Metacritic with 12 positive reviews and six mixed reviews. You can check out a review round-up below.
