In 2014, Nintendo announced Star Fox Zero, a brand new Star Fox game that would be neither a prequel nor a sequel to Star Fox 64. Like Star Fox 64, Star Fox Zero will focus on Fox McCloud as he pilots his Arwing through numerous challenging levels. Unlike Star Fox 64, Star Fox Zero‘s controls will take full advantage of the Wii U GamePad, with the left control stick maneuvering the craft while the gyroscopic controls are used to aim the weapons. YouTuber TheJWittz recently sat down with Shigeru Miyamoto to discuss the various aspects of Star Fox Zero, and one of the questions he asked revolved around the choice of vehicles in the game.

According to Miyamoto, certain vehicles like the Blue Marine worked on
Star Fox 64 because the player only needed the TV and the classic controller in their hand. Because Star Fox Zero uses a second screen, joysticks, and motions controls, Miyamoto and the rest of the team had to pick vehicles that reflect the new styles of gameplay.

What vehicles from
Star Fox 64 would you have wanted to see in Star Fox Zero? Sound off in the comments below!
