Last month, we reported that an offline mode might be coming to Star Wars Battlefront, and now EA and DICE have officially announced that such a mode is coming next week on July 20. The mode is named Skirmish, and it “offers players the option to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen (console only.)” For those who are looking for a challenge, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron will have two difficulty options in Skirmish Mode.

Season pass holders will also be happy to learn that the Death Star map launches in September. The expansion will include new ground and space maps, weapons, Star Cards, and two new heroes. More information about the Death Star map will be revealed at Star Wars Celebration on July 16 at 11:00 AM PDT.
