Valve’s PC gaming platform, Steam, is almost inarguably the largest distributor and marketplace for PC games and associated items. Yesterday Steam hit an astounding 9,264,841 users logged in at the same time—for reference, that’s roughly the same as the entire audience of the PlayStation 4. Of course, this isn’t counting all of the logged-off players, as Steam has over 100 million unique accounts that have been created.
