Nintendo showed off a ton of new footage for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 during today’s Nintendo Direct. The game is looking better than ever with its new visual style, intriguing characters, and the many different titans that appear. Most importantly of all, however, they announced an official release date, confirming what many had doubted: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is indeed coming in 2017.

The game focuses on many different cultures that base their lifestyle around the world’s different titans. The main character is a boy named Rex, who lives on the back of a small titan. You can check out more about the story and gameplay in the video above!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will also have a collector’s edition and a special pro controller themed after the game. It will launch for the Nintendo Switch on December 1st.

Our Verdict

Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
