Following the release of the NPD Group’s June report, Nintendo has released a few details about their software sales. The latest iteration of Super Smash Bros. has now sold over 5 million copies in the United States alone, including 2 million on Wii U and 3 million on 3DS. Globally, the games have combined for approximately 13 million total sales, with 4.8 million sold on Wii U and 8.12 million on 3DS as of March 31st.
Although the NPD Group has not yet released their software report, Nintendo also indicated that
Kirby: Planet Robobot was number four in the United States for the month of June. Minecraft: Wii U Edition just missed the top ten, coming in at number eleven according to Nintendo. No specific sales figures were provided for either game.
