A wild balance patch has appeared! You may have noticed that a new balance patch, v1.1.4, was released today for Super Smash Bros. Wii U / 3DS. The majority of the changes have yet to be released, but so far some members of the community believe that Mewtwo has had his weight values changed and his up throw move buffed, while Zelda had her jab attack and neutral air attack buffed. The update for 3DS requires 2,634 blocks (329MB) of storage, and the Wii U update needs 160MB of space. This is not a very large update, but it’s still things like this that help keep fighting games like Super Smash Bros. alive. I know I can’t be the only one excited to know what the rest of this patch brought!

While the official release notes below are a bit lackluster, remember that the Super Smash Bros. community is actively testing the new update to create a more detailed change log, which when completed can be viewed here.

Official Release Notes:

– Game balance adjusted

– Adjustments have also been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience

* Replays stored up with the previous version (version 1.1.4) are not compatible
