Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is headed to Nintendo Switch this December. The latest entry in Nintendo’s popular fighting franchise lives up to its name with the most “ultimate” roster yet. Every single fighter in Smash history will be returning for this game, and some newcomers (like the Inklings and Ridley) are joining the fight as well. However, it appears Ultimate won’t be quite as comprehensive when it comes to stages.
During a recent interview with popular Japanese publication Famitsu, Nintendo’s Nate Bihldorff (Nintendo Treehouse Senior Localization Manager) and Bill Trinen (Nintendo of America Senior Product Marketing Manager) indicated that we won’t see quite every stage from the series return, but there will be a lot. Based on footage we’ve seen so far, fans have already counted
over 80 stages in the game, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding plenty to enjoy. Of course, there are also new stages, such as the Great Plateau Tower.
