Team Ninja, the Japanese game development team behind great franchises like Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, expressed some interest in still working with Nintendo’s Wii U, provided they could find projects that would be a good fit. Their first game for the Wii U, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, didn’t receive the greatest praise in the world, but nonetheless received generally good ratings.

Team Ninja studio head Yosuke Hayashi told Joystiq at Gamescom 2013 what the developer’s current position regarding the Wii U, stating:

“Of course, I think there are games that would be good for Wii U. So I think we need to still see what exactly those games they are and how you make a game for Wii U that is perfect for the Wii U. So if we get a chance to make a game like that, well, maybe we can think about it then. But right now we have no plans to port existing games to Wii U.”

While Team Ninja currently isn’t thinking of making any games for the Wii U, they did state that they would think about it.

What do you think about this? Considering the games Team Ninja has already dished out, do you think making games for the Wii U could really help them? Leave a comment down below!
