If, for some reason, your New Year’s Resolution was to start playing Tetris on your 3DS, you’ll sadly be out of luck. Starting today, both Tetris (Game Boy) and Tetris Axis have been removed from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. You can still get your hands on a copy of Tetris Axis in stores, but you’ll have to look elsewhere to find the original game.

We don’t know for sure, but this is likely because Ubisoft gained the rights to Tetris, and Nintendo’s license to the franchise expired on New Years.
