By now we’ve all most likely seen
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth being teased for Nintendo consoles. Multiple pictures have appeared online showing the Wii U home menu overlaying an image of Isaac’s gameplay. Well, it turns out that those rumors are no longer just rumors.

Today, the creator of
Isaac, Edmund McMillen, tweeted this along with the above video:

This is a rather huge change of mind on Nintendo’s part. The original version of
The Binding of Isaac was planned for release on the Nintendo 3DS in 2012. However, it was rejected by Nintendo and ultimately canceled due to “questionable religious content.”
