An obscure countdown began recently on Persona 5‘s website, and is due to end on May 5th, at 8:30 AM eastern time. The countdown clock will end with a live broadcast themed around the game, Atlus has announced, that will start as soon as the clock hits zero. There’s no further information on what the broadcast will entail, but many fans are eagerly awaiting an official release date. The current release window is Summer 2016 for Japan, and an even more vague 2016 window for western audiences.

Persona 5 will be the first main entry in the franchise since 2008’s Persona 4, and it is currently set to launch on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Nothing fancy. I love games, and love writing.
