In celebration of the Metroid franchise’s 30th anniversary, talented fan DoctorM64 released an incredible remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus with vastly improved visuals and gameplay styled after Metroid: Zero Mission. As you might expect, Nintendo quickly had the game removed from the internet, but development of updates for the game continued anyway, and a patch was later released to fix a major bug.
Unfortunately, no new updates will be made available, as the game’s creator has confirmed that development of the project has officially ceased. After receiving a DMCA takedown request on his email account, DoctorM64 has announced that there will be no further updates. He also thanked fans for supporting the project.
I've received a DMCA takedown request on my email account. So, AM2R won't receive any more updates nor releases. Thank you for the support.
