Remakes are nothing nothing new for this console generation, and if a new listing by the Korean Ratings Board is accurate, we could be seeing another one coming very soon—and for a much lauded group of games, too. Yesterday, NeoGAF user catmario spotted a listing for “Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection,” with ratings given for both a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the game. Obviously, this would most likely be a remake or remastering of Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, the three titles which portray the life of master assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
Ubisoft has not yet commented on these ratings, but the Korean board has leaked the existence of several games in the past, so the chance of this being real is likely. Given that there is no new Assassin’s Creed title coming this year, Ubisoft could be hoping to use this remake to fill that void and keep the once-annual franchise in gamers’ minds.
Would you like to see Ezio’s adventures come to the latest consoles? Or would Ubisoft be better off focusing on new games in the series? Sound off with your opinions in the comments!
