Tokyo Game Show is in full swing, and that means it’s time for the regular “What’s up with The Last Guardian?” check-in. The long-awaited title from the creator of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus has been in development since 2007, but we still known relatively little, haven’t seen a new trailer in ages, and aren’t even sure which console it’s launching on anymore. Famitsu Magazine caught up with Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida to see if they could squeeze any news about The Last Guardian out of him, and he gave a vague, but promising answer. Here’s what he had to say:
We’re developing it in top form. … Maybe I said too much? (Laughs) We’re continuing to develop it tenaciously, please stay tuned. — Shuhei Yoshida
I’m not sure what Yoshida’s definition of “too much” is, but a bit more information would have been nice. Still, it sounds like Sony has no intention of ditching the greatly delayed game, and we can only hope development reaches a position where they can re-introduce it to the world soon.
