We recently reported that The Pokémon Company was gearing up to reveal a new Pokémon, and the latest monster has now officially been unveiled to the public. The new trailer for Pokemon the Movie: Everyone’s Story featured a brief glimpse of the new creature, and shortly after it aired an official reveal trailer was posted as well. The latest addition the the Pokémon roster is the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora.
Zeraora, also known as the Thunderclap Pokémon, is an Electric monotype. It creates a powerful magnetic field by emitting strong electric currents from the pads on its hands and feet. It can use this magnetic field to levitate and move through the air at high speed. Its max speed is said to be about the same as that of a lightning strike. Unlike most Electric-type Pokémon, it doesn’t have an organ within its body that can produce electricity. However, it is able to gather and store electricity from outside sources, then use it as its own electric energy. When it uses massive amounts of electricity, its fur stands on end all over its body.
Exact details on when and how Zeraora will become available in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have not yet been made available. We can expect more information to trickle out in the coming days. In the meantime, you can catch the two trailers by clicking below!
