Id Software’s Hugo Martin and Marty Stratton, the directors of the latest Doom game, have revealed a massive secret that the title has been hiding. Hidden in each level of the new Doom is a portion of a classic map from the first two Doom games, complete with muddy 90s textures. Figuring out how to unlock the pathways to these section can prove extremely challenging, but players who find them will unlock the full original map as a playable level, accessible from the game’s main menu. Watch the video above to see how you can unlock the E1M2 stage from the very first Doom.

Hi, I'm Alex. I'm a lifelong Nintendo fan and PC gamer. A few of my all-time favourite video games include The Legend of Zeldas: Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask, Mass Effect 2, Rayman 2, and most importantly, Xenoblade. If I ever catch you making a "really feeling it" joke in our comments, you can bet your ass I'll hide it, you casual scum. Feel free to send me a private message if you have something you'd like to discuss... or if you just want to say hi!
