Pokémon GO has always been about getting outside and exploring the world around us. It’s certainly been successful in that mission, as trainers have collectively traveled more than 15.8 billion kilometers as of May 11th. To put that in perspective, that’s around 2.5 times the average distance to Pluto! The adventures aren’t over yet, however, as the newest Pokémon GO event launches tomorrow!
Starting at 4:00 PM Eastern, trainers can participate in “Adventure Week.” As part of the festivities, PokéStops will hand out more items and Poké Balls will be 50% off in the in-game shop. You’ll need these items as you explore, since Rock-type Pokémon such as Omanyte, Sudowoodo, and Aerodactyl will be encountered more frequently. Make sure you take your Buddy Pokémon with you as well, as they’ll gather candy four times as fast.
Adventure Week ends at 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on May 25th, so be sure to take part in the event while you can. Happy adventuring!
