About one week ago, Ship to Shore PhonoCo. launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring Mother: The Original Arranged Soundtrack to the West for the first time. This soundtrack includes selected tracks from Mother that have been provided with an orchestral arrangement. After only five days of funding, the project has reached its goal.

At the time of writing this article, the Kickstarter has 965 backers, with $48,804 raised (out of a $42,000 goal) and twenty-five days left. The next stretch goal of $60,000 will allow the soundtrack to come with embossed lettering on the front cover, physical album liner notes, and an obi strip for the album “so that it looks like something that came out of Japan in 1989.”

If you would like to further support the Kickstarter, you can by clicking here. As of now, you can donate $45 to the Kickstarter and receive a white colored vinyl, or you can donate $40 and receive a black colored vinyl.

Do you plan on buying this album? Which tune are you excited to hear the most in the high quality sound of vinyl?

Our Verdict

Adam Sherrill
Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
