Earlier this year, SEGA announced that Valkyria Chronicles was coming to Switch in Japan this month. At the time, there was no news of a worldwide release, but that changed this past weekend at PAX West. At their panel on Saturday, SEGA revealed that the Switch port of Valkyria Chronicles is launching on the Nintendo eShop on October 16th.
Valkyria Chronicles will launch at a price of $19.99, but fans who purchase Valkyria Chronicles 4 (launching September 25th) through the eShop will receive a 25% discount, bringing the cost down to $14.99. This port is not the remastered version that other consoles have gotten, but the ability to take it on the go is a welcome feature. It’s a good looking game to begin with anyway, so I think it’s a nice trade-off.
