A New Frontier, the third season of the Walking Dead video game, has been delayed to December 20th. The first episode of the season will become available online on that day, with the remaining four episodes launching periodically over the following months. As The Walking Dead is a Telltale Games series, it follows a unique release schedule: each game is divided into “seasons,” which are released every few years, and each “season” is divided into five different episodes.
The first episode of A New Frontier will cost $4.99 on all platforms, and all subsequent episodes will cost the same upon their release. To get access to all the episodes in the series as they are released, players can buy a Season Pass, which costs $24.99.
This new season will take place a few years after the end of The Walking Dead: Season Two, bringing the protagonist, Clementine, much closer to the time frame of the Walking Dead comic books. A New Frontier follows Clementine in her quest for survival, now accompanied by AJ, a young child that she saved at the end of Season Two.
