Earlier this morning, we reported that Nintendo will be releasing two more apps for mobile platforms based on the beloved Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem franchises, as part of all of the reveals made at Nintendo’s Investor’s Meeting. Some more information on these two apps has come to light that might have fans of the two series very excited. A press release sent out by Nintendo revealed that both of these apps will be “pure games.”

What does this exactly mean? Nintendo describes it as thus:

“Compared to Miitomo, they have more prominent game elements, and the game content will tie closely into Nintendo’s dedicated games business”
— Nintendo

While the press release continues on to explain that more information regarding these two apps and their level of interactivity will come at a later date, it sounds like Nintendo intends to release two full games for mobile, though only time will tell just how involved they really are. Nintendo concluded by giving both apps an Autumn release window.

Are you excited for either of these apps? How do you interpret ”
pure games?” Let us know in the comments below!
