Soraya Saga, the wife of Tetsuya Takahashi, the founder of Monolith Soft, has retweeted Nintendo’s announcement of the Nintendo Switch presentation that will be taking place on January 13th. This has led many to speculate that Monolith Soft will make an announcement during the presentation, perhaps confirming the rumors that Xenoblade Chronicles X will be released on Nintendo’s upcoming console.

Twice before, in 2013 and 2014, Soraya Saga has retweeted details about upcoming Nintendo Direct presentations, and both times, Xenoblade Chronicles X was featured in those broadcasts. The fact that Soraya Saga retweeted the Nintendo Switch news could very well confirm that Monolith Soft will be present in the broadcast somehow, be it through a Xenoblade Chronicles X re-release, an entirely new game, or some other related news. It should also be noted that, not only did Soraya Saga retweet the news, she actually retweeted it four different times: she shared two tweets in Japanese from Nintendo’s official Twitter, and two tweets in English from Nintendo of America’s Twitter.

What do you guys think? Does this suggest that Monolith Soft will be making an announcement on January 13th? Will it be a re-release of Xenoblade Chronicles X? Personally, although I’m usually very skeptical about this kind of information, I really do believe that Monolith Soft will be featured in next week’s broadcast. The fact that Saga has a history of revealing her husband’s company’s announcements ahead of time, as well as the fact that she retweeted four different tweets about the event, heavily implies that this is not just a rumor.
