Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai was recently interviewed by Famitsu magazine, and he gave some interesting responses to some misconceptions that fans have about the series. Many fans argue that Sakurai only puts in Kirby stages that were directed by him, or had him involved in the project somehow. According to Sakurai, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/ 3DS was originally supposed to have a stage based on Kirby’s Epic Yarn, which was directed by Kentaro Sei. Because Yoshi’s Woolly World was scheduled to be released in the near future, the stage’s theme and composition changed.
