Just a few days ago, SEGA announced a lineup of games called SEGA Ages coming to Nintendo Switch this summer. The service is similar to Nintendo’s Virtual Console, offering players the chance to download classic SEGA games to a modern system. More recently, SEGA revealed the first five retro titles we can get our hands on later this year.

We already knew that
Sonic the Hedgehog, Thunder Force IV, and Phantasy Star would be a part of SEGA Ages. In addition to these titles, SEGA now confirmed that we will see Gain Ground and Alex Kidd in Miracle World during the initial launch of the program as well. The debut of SEGA Ages seems to be centered around games from the Master System and the Genesis, but the company is open to the possibility of other systems and has stated they are working on translating games that did not originally release in the West.

With all this in mind, what SEGA games would you like to play on Nintendo Switch? Which games do you hope are translated for a Western audience? Let us know in the comments below!

Our Verdict

Adam Sherrill
Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
