Today Sega has released the Nomadic Tribes Culture Pack DLC for Total War: Rome II. It will have a cost
of $7.99, but players are able to get it for free if purchased before October

Available on Steam right now, the
DLC will add three new playable factions to the game: the Royal Scythians,
Roxolani, and Massagetae. All of the factions come with new buildings and
building chains, a technology tree, campaign objectives, and new units. A
detailed breakdown of the faction differences can be found in the Steam product listing.

According to Mike Simpson, Creative
Assembly’s studio director, the promotion is meant to thank the fans.

“We are going to continue to
work on gameplay feature balancing with our community who have been hugely
helpful in feeding back on the game. Offering this DLC for free for the first
week it’s on sale is a celebration and a small thank you to them for helping us
make this the biggest TW yet.”
