Ubisoft has made record sales with their new IP Watch Dogs, selling over 4 million copies in its first week. These numbers make the game the company’s best selling game ever in its first week. So millions of PlayStaton 4, X Box One, and PC owners around the world have been able to enjoy this game. What about the loyal gamers who have held out for the Wii U version? In a few short months, those gamers can be satiated as well.

“With such strong sales momentum and positive feedback from gamers, Watch Dogs has positioned itself as the must-have game of the moment. We’re really proud of this achievement, and are confident that the Watch Dogs brand has a promising future.”
— Tony Key, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

In a press release about the success of the game, Ubisoft announced that it will be available on the Wii U in Fall 2014. Hopefully it will be optimized for the system and the company can work out some of the bugs that the game has been experiencing. Are you looking forward to the Wii U version or have you already grabbed it? Could this delay be a good thing in the long run, or will the game ultimately fail on the Wii U? Our Verdict

Dan Rockwood
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, and though throughout my college career I was forced to write hard news stories about local issues and interview people like police officers and local politicians, I've always wanted to get into video game writing. Whenever I had an open assignment to do for a class I focused it on video games. The majority of the news I consume is about the gaming world, whether it's from G4, IGN, Gamnesia, Zelda Informer, or from my friends on facebook, nothing gets me more excited than the developments taking place everyday in the world of gaming. Now I don't only get to play the games, I get to write about them. And that is pretty awesome.
