Wii U hasn’t been as successful (in terms of units sold) as Nintendo had hoped, but the console is slowly but surely hitting some milestones. Last month, Nintendo announced that their first HD console had sold over 10 million units worldwide, roughly two and a half years after launch. Now, courtesy of Media Create, we know that about one-fourth of those sales come from Nintendo’s home country of Japan. With the previous week of sales in the book, Wii U has just topped 2.5 million units sold in Japan. This is up from 2 million sales in Japan last November.
