Nintendo Switch owners have been able to share screenshots of gameplay fairly easily this year with the capture button located on the left Joy-Con. With the most recent update (version 4.0.0 for the system), Switch players can now save and share up to thirty seconds of in-game video to Facebook and Twitter.

As seen in the above trailer, players can now capture the previous thirty seconds of video when they press and hold down the capture button. Quickly pressing the capture button still takes only a screenshot.

In the Nintendo Switch’s album, photos and videos can either be viewed separately or altogether in the same folder. When posting videos to social media platforms, players will have the chance to trim their video from either end to highlight the perfect bragging moment or momentous occasion in titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and all other supported games.

Are you excited this feature has finally been delivered? Nintendo teased it was coming for months, and now it is here! Comment below with Facebook or Twitter links to your Nintendo Switch video highlights down below!

Hey all! I've been a gamer since I was three. I'm one of those people with gaming so ingrained in them that watching my father play Super Mario 64 is actually my first memory I can recall. I love writing too! I'm writing an original fantasy series that takes place in another universe; it may take some inspiration from some of my favorite franchises. I've been a journalist for a few years, have worked on local and national teams, and have garnered experience assigning stories, editing, writing, interviewing, hosting a television series, running a YouTube channel, and doing other stuff that's more fun to mention in conversation. Bios can drag on. Anyway, I'm super stoked to be a part of the Gamnesia team! Thanks for having me!
