Wolfenstein is one of the oldest shooters in existence, and its transition into a 3D shooter in the 90s helped catapult the young genre into popularity. The long-running series was recently placed back in the spotlight when Bethesda launched Wolfenstein: The New Order last year, pulling in positive reviews and respectable sales numbers. The New Order was followed up with a standalone prequel called Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, and based on recent comments by a voice actress from the game, we can expect a sequel soon.
Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, the voice actress for Anya Oliwa in
The New Order, mentioned that she’s working on a video game sequel. She stops short of actually naming the game, but the implication is crystal clear.
“I’m working on a video game, first part of which I have already made. Now we’re making a second one, which will take two more years. I played this game as a child. I was very happy when I got to the point where I could shoot Hitler.”

If her time table is correct, it looks like we can expect a new
Wolfenstein game next year (or the year after, depending on whether that two years begins now or if it began after The New Order‘s launch), and Anya will likely be returning.
