Disney has just announced that they are officially making a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph, which will hit theaters on March 9th, 2018. In this movie Ralph, who previously struggled to harmonize his role as villain with the desire to become a hero, will venture into unexplored territory, as he gets to wreck the vast and complicated world of the internet.
Ralph is once again voiced by John C. Reilly, who said to Entertainment Weekly, “I’ll tell you this much… Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the Internet. What could go wrong?” Disney also released concept art for the film, which shows Ralph and his friend Vanellope Von Schweetz towering over compnies that parody Google, Amazon, StubHub, and other prolific online entities.
Rich Moore, who directed Zootopia and the original Wreck-It Ralph, will co-direct this sequel with Phil Johnston, who co-wrote the original film.
