PlayStation 4 topped the US hardware charts for eight consecutive months, but that streak was broken when both Xbox One and Nintendo 3DS outsold Sony’s console in July. The launch of the new Xbox One S model has kept Microsoft’s sales going strong for a second straight month, as Xbox games marketing boss Aaron Greenberg has announced (via the NPD Group’s research) that Xbox One topped PlayStation 4 again in August. Sony will look to regain steam with PlayStation 4 Slim later this month, and with PlayStation 4 Pro on November 10th.
