Monolith Soft has revealed a ton of the finer details about their upcoming open-world RPG Xenoblade Chronicles X. We’ve learned plenty about the world, the characters, and the game mechanics, but so far they’ve kept relatively quiet about the game’s story. Outside of the footage we saw at last year’s E3 and the brief teaser clips they’ve slipped into their live stream presentations, not much has been revealed, leading some fans to believe that the plot will take a back seat to questing in this title. However, now they’ve put out an exciting new story trailer that proves those naysayers wrong.

You can watch the trailer above, or go here for English fan translations. Xenoblade Chronicles X will launch on April 29 in Japan, exclusively for Wii U. Other regions have a general release window of 2015.

Hi, I'm Alex. I'm a lifelong Nintendo fan and PC gamer. A few of my all-time favourite video games include The Legend of Zeldas: Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask, Mass Effect 2, Rayman 2, and most importantly, Xenoblade. If I ever catch you making a "really feeling it" joke in our comments, you can bet your ass I'll hide it, you casual scum. Feel free to send me a private message if you have something you'd like to discuss... or if you just want to say hi!
