Following the Nintendo Direct, developer Monolith Soft launched their own website for Xenoblade Chronicles X and stated that they were entering the final stages of development for the title.
Monolith Soft also opened up a Twitter account for the upcominginstallment: @XenobladeJP
Xenoblade Chronicles X is the upcoming spiritual successor to the well-acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles. Set to feature an open-world environment even greater than its predecessor and even more beautiful designs, Xenoblade Cross, as it’s known in Japan, was shown in the most recent Nintendo Direct. The trailer focused on its gameplay and story and was received by widespread cheers.
Xenoblade Chronicles X will be releasing in Japan in the Spring of 2015 and will release worldwide later in the year for the Wii U.
