Game Freak has not been shy about giving away Pokémon in 2018, with multiple free legendary Pokémon distributions throughout the year. However, they have recently added three new Pokémon to the list of (kind of) freebies for the year. From now until October 31st, Pokémon Bank subscribers can receive the final evolutions of the Alolan starters (Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina) in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, and each will have their Hidden Abilities.

Decidueye will come with the ability Long Reach, which has never been available on any Pokémon before now; this ability allows Decidueye to use physical moves without making contact with the opposing Pokémon, negating the effects of abilities like Rough Skin and items like the Rocky Helmet. Incineroar will come with the ability Intimidate, which drops the attack of the opposing Pokémon when Incineroar enters battle. Finally, Primarina will come with Liquid Voice, which also has not previously been available on any other Pokémon; it turns all of Primarina’s sound-based moves like Echoed Voice into Water-type attacks.

Elijah Holt
Greetings Gamnesiacs! I'm Elijah Holt, a Associate Editor coming at you live from beautiful Alabama. My love for gaming started at an early age and has ingrained a love for two different gaming companies in my mind. On one side, my love of the Nintendo 64 and my countless hours spent perfecting the first few levels of Super Mario 64 (I was never good enough to get past those...maybe if they release it for the Wii U eShop someday...) resulted in my love for everything Nintendo; meanwhile, I also owned an original PlayStation, which has resulted in me currently owning a PS3 and PS4 for a few Sony exclusives and third-party titles. I'm a recent graduate of Auburn University, where I majored in Software Engineering. I currently work in DevOps as an Automation Engineer. I look forward to continuing to provide the finest content on the internet to loyal Gamnesia readers like you. Want to contact me? You can always shoot me an email at [email protected]
