iam8bit, a production company that creates music and merchandise based on retro video games and films, is planning to release a vinyl album with the soundtrack of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, recorded by a real 64-piece orchestra. This album will be entitled “The Hero of Time,” and it’ll launch on two 180-gram vinyl records. The record itself is stunning, with green and red rupee-colored discs and a Zelda-themed sleeve, decorated with several locations from Ocarina of Time, including Death Mountain and the Lost Woods.

The soundtrack was recorded by an unspecified orchestra at Studio 1 in Bratislava, Slovakia, and customers who buy the record will be given access to a digital copy of the album. The record is expected to launch sometime in Quarter 2 of 2017 and will cost $40.00.

If you’re interested, you can go here for more information about the album, as well as a collection of images and animations of the record itself.

What do you guys think? Are you thinking of preordering this album, or would you rather wait to hear the finalized recordings? Do you like the album artwork? Let us know in the comments below!
